Description
Connecticut offers some of the best golfing in New England
Amid Connecticut’s scenic forests and green valleys, rolling hills, beautiful vistas and glistening wetlands make the ultimate setting for picture-perfect country club golf.
You probably have already watched PGA players take on the TPC River Highlands, the course that serves as home to the Travelers Championship. River Highlands, on a bluff above the Connecticut River, is also the centerpiece of an outstanding country club and is a great place to call home. The residential community here has been honored with many national and state awards.
You can find a golf course to call home in this scenic state
In East Haddam, you’ll find the Fox Hopyard Golf Club and Hopyard community. Here a links-style course meanders through a woodland setting and has many elevation changes and rolling fairways.
Or there’s the Oxford Greens Golf Club with a course winding through pristine wooded areas and open meadows. A private golf community with 400 homes surrounds the course.
If you’re looking for a second-home possibility, there’s the club at River Oaks in Sherman on the edge of the Berkshires. A private gated community here lies near the Appalachian Trail. It’s a great place for recreation for the whole family.
