Description
North Dakota Treasures the Game of Golf. Let CountryClubs.com help you find membership at a club in this state
North Dakota is known for its broad plains, amber waves of grain and some of the coldest winters in America. But it also has more than 100 golf courses and a 20-club golf trail named after the explorers Lewis and Clark who toured this area back in the early 1800s. It has outstanding country clubs as well as homes on some of its newest fairways.
Near Fargo, Oxbow Golf & Country Club offers a Robert Trent Jones Jr. course that has won honors from Golf Digest. The Fargo Country Club also takes honors for having been the state’s very first golf club.
Another national award winner is Hawktree Golf Club in Bismarck, designed by the state’s native son James Engh. A new golf community, the Ridge, is being built here.
The Links of North Dakota in the town of Ray is a Golf Digest and GolfWeek Top 100 course. The true links design created here by golf architect Stephen Kay overlooks Lake Sakakawea.
