Description
Unique Private Clubs in the Great Spaces of South Dakota. Let CountryClubs.com find you a membership in this state
From the pines and granite peaks of the Black Hills to the rolling bluffs and majestic rivers of South Dakota’s prairies, you’ll find great country clubs that take advantage of the geography of this state.
One recent addition to the private golf scene is Dakota Dunes Country Club with a course designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer. Nestled among the wooded dunes along the Missouri River, the 18-hole championship course is the focus of a golf community near Sioux Falls.
About 45 miles north of Pierre is the Sutton Bay Golf Club, overlooking Lake Oahe, built on what was once the Sutton Ranch, home to famous rodeos and the oldest private buffalo herd in existence. Now it’s a unique private club for those who love golf, hunting and fishing. The course designed by Graham Marsh was named the best new private course in America by Golf Digest in 2004.
In South Dakota you’ll also find venerable private clubs like Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls and Moccasin Creek Country Club in Aberdeen.
